Drambuies dam St.Pr. Princessa is out of St.Pr. Walencia out of St.Pr.
Shocolata. Shocolata is famous as one of the most successful mares within the
Hanoverian Verband. She was, together with her daughters, prolific winners in
Verden shows as well as outside the region. Shocolata and her daughters have
repeatedly produced top dressage horses, particularly with the stallions
Wenzel I and Akzent II. One grandson by Akzent II out of Wieneren was sold
in 2000 for DM 1,600,000 to the
USA.
The later introduction of Prince Thatch xx to the bloodline is considered to
be ideal for the breeding of the modern type of dressage horse.
Drambuie (stable name 'Dennis') was trained and ridden by the International Grand Prix rider Natalie
Hobday in
Germany from beginning 2005 until November 2006.
'Dennis' returned home
to Bradstone Stud in November 2006 for me to ride him. "What is the point
of having wonderful horses if you are unable to enjoy them?" However, I
was unable to ride as much as intended and 'Dennis' was sold
Spring 2007 to
the Dennis family (how appropriate!) in Devon, England. The very talented young rider Holly Dennis
has already been very successful competing Drambuie at dressage. They became South
West British Area
Novice 22 (open class) winner Oct 2007 and they won the BYRDS (British Young
Rider Dressage Scheme) Novice 22 with 73.45% in April 2008. They were 3rd at the
Regionals in restricted Elementary February 2009.
Drambuie ('Dennis') was sold May 2007 to Holly Dennis, Devon, England!
